Katrina grew up in rural Ontario and had a passion for animal rescue starting from an early age. She continually exasperated her parents by bringing home abandoned, injured, and hungry animals including squirrels, raccoons, dogs, kittens and birds. She got such a name for nursing animals back to health that her grade school peers would bring animals to school and pass them on to her. She once kept a baby squirrel in her desk until hometime…don’t worry, he survived to adulthood and was successfully reintroduced to nature. She went on to become a Veterinary Technologist and now lives in Toronto with her 2 dogs and 3 cats and is delighted to continue with the life-long animal rescue mission via Hopeful Tails.
